Waze (wa) is a unit of weight approximately equal to the average weight of an adult human — 140 pounds, 63.5 kilograms, or 10 stones. Waze comes from the Arabic word wazn, meaning weight. The unit is used mainly to specify human weights, as well as weights of other heavy things that weigh hundreds of pounds, such as animals. The average weight of adult men in the United States is 1.282 wa (179.5 lb, 81.4 kg). The average weight of adult women in the United States is 1.050 wa (147.0 lb, 66.7 kg). So the average weight in both adult sexes living in the United States is 1.166 wa (163.2 lb, 74.0 kg). The average human weight around the world is about 0.98 wa (137 lb, 62 kg). For example, as of April 10, 2016, PlanetStar weighs 0.7695 wa (107.73 lb, 48.866 kg), which is really light for an adult man. Hopefully in the future, this unit shall pass on to the literature so waze will be as commonly used to measure human weights as pounds or kilograms.
