Sweck (sw) is a unit of time equal to six hours, 360 minutes, 14 of a day, or following sexagesimal relations as in hours over minutes, 60 dixes. A sweck is how long each of the pardies (e.g. afternoon) that make up the day last. Sweck comes from the Proto-Indo-European word swéḱs, meaning six. It takes about seven swecks to drive from New York to Los Angeles via I-80.
